Parent privacy overview

Progress stays on this browser.

MAP Tutor's current learning experience is designed to let a family try missions without creating a student account.

What this browser keeps

When a learner uses the current app, MAP stores these details in this browser's local storage so the experience can remember their progress:

  • Learner nickname and selected grade
  • Mission progress and saved mission summaries
  • XP, question totals, and streaks
  • Family Practice Plan choices and activity history

MAP counts public page visits, practice launches, and membership clicks using random browser identifiers that rotate daily and sessions that expire after 30 minutes without measured activity. The server keeps short-lived daily hashes for duplicate detection and aggregate counts. This measurement includes campaign labels, never learner details, answers, scores, or progress.

You stay in control of this device.

A parent can review the saved demo progress or remove it from the Parent Progress page. Clearing it removes the locally saved learner progress from this browser.
